Meet Dr. Maria Naanaa
Dr. Maria Naanaa is a dedicated dentist at Cheney Dental Care with a passion for comprehensive patient care and education. She earned her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco, after completing her undergraduate studies in biochemistry at UC Davis. Originally from Ukraine, Dr. Naanaa moved to California at the age of 7 with her mother and grandmother. She now resides in Spokane, WA, where she enjoys the juxtaposition of nature and city as well as its friendly people.
Dr. Naanaa is passionate about various aspects of dentistry, from educating patients about disease prevention to helping them get out of pain, replacing missing teeth, and restoring their confidence. She loves building long-term relationships with her patients and their families, treating them holistically and ensuring they receive the highest quality care. Dr. Naanaa is a lifelong learner and believes in the importance of staying up to date with continuing education. In addition to her work at Cheney Dental Care, Dr. Naanaa also teaches part-time as a clinical instructor at Eastern Washington University’s hygiene school, where she enjoys mentoring the next generation of dental professionals.
Outside of work, Dr. Naanaa loves spending time with her husband and son, playing board games, hosting dinners with friends, or traveling locally and abroad. She has a wide range of interests ranging from salsa dancing, to homeopathic medicine, to investing, to volunteering with refugees at the Thrive center.
Above all, what she loves most about her work at Cheney Dental Care is the wonderful people. She feels incredibly fortunate to work with such an experienced,caring team and is very excited to get to know the patients.
